Penalties Under Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act
- Any person convicted of an offence under this Act is liable to a fine of not more than $25000, to imprisonment for a term of not more than one year or both.
- Seizure of all hunting gear and game in the commission of the offense.
- Loss of hunting and fishing license.
Penalties Under Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act
- Any person who commits a minor offence under this Act is liable to a fine of not more that $75000, to imprisonment for a term of not more than 6 months or both.
- Any person who commits a major offence under this Act is liable to a fine of not more than $130000, to imprisonment for a term of not more than 2 years or both.
- Any animal in the position of danger or neglect could be euthanized under the decision of a veterinarian if they deem it is the most humane course of action for the animal.
- Probation order set in place if there are other animals in the home and the courts do not deem it necessary to have them removed. This order could include home visits, request of vet reports etc. for a period of time decided by the courts.
- Prohibition order set in place to have other animals removed from custody of defendant. Order to describe that defendant cannot live in a home or own other animals for a period of time decided by the courts.
Penalties Under Dog Owner’s Liability Act
- Any person convicted of an offence under this Act is liable to a fine of no more ant $10000, to imprisonment for a term of no more than 6 months or both.
- Possible muzzle or restraint order.
- Possible sterilization or destruction order.
